St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport has more than 3,200 employees. It includes a 473-bed community teaching hospital, a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Westport, a large multispecialty provider group, and special needs services for adults and children. Job Summary
The Quality Data Analyst will monitor and maintain a focus on patient outcomes for continuous quality improvement. They will utilize teamwork and collaboration through the facilitation of group process for the achievement of positive departmental and hospital wide outcomes. This position will be responsible for the oversight and data analysis for STEMIs, Vascular Surgery and Interventional Cardiology patients as part of the AHA GWTG, VQI and NCDR registries for the Heart & Vascular Institute. This includes developing and implementing registries as needed/required and other clinical databases to support the program. Additional responsibilities of this position include clinical performance follow up and oversight of quality outcomes data; identification of opportunities for performance improvement; assisting with design and monitoring of key performance indicators; generating accurate and timely reports as needed to disseminate information to the appropriate committees, teams and physicians to facilitate collaboration across the HVI Quality Team. This position will be part of the Heart & Vascular Institute’s quality data management team.



  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in a health related field with emphasis on quality improvement and research preferred. RN preferred.
  • 2-3 years hospital experience with knowledge of medical diagnosis and treatment essential.
  • Must be able to communicate with tact and confidentiality.
  • Database management preferred.
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
