The Medical Assistant in our Nuero Oncology Practice responsible for providing outstanding and professional patient care ensure efficiency and promote a positive patient experience. Responsibilities include but, are not limited to:

• Assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
• Responsible for performing such duties as phlebotomy, patient scheduling, EKG's, collection of specimens, taking vital signs and assisting physicians or other providers under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

Education:

• Completion of Medical Assistant program preferred.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.

Experience:
•2 plus years experience as Medical Assistant strongly preferred.
•Experience in a fast-paced medical office highly preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.
