This provider will contribute to Cancer Support Services by offering both direct patient care using both in-person and telehealth services and facilitating complementary programs focused on group support, staff collaboration, and community education.  Additional expectations for this role may include identifying community psychiatric resources for long-term counseling needs and creating programs that promote system-wide comprehensive support in alignment with the mission of the Cancer Institute to offer whole-person centered care. Opportunities for research and training also exist and are an integral part of the behavioral health clinician’s role.
