Shift Details: 7a-7p x 3; 36 hours, every third weekend, every other holiday

The Emergency Department at HOCC – Bradley Memorial campus is a 10 bed unit that cares for patients across the spectrum of age, health, education, etc. The staff includes Registered Nurses, Patient Care Associates, Unit Secretaries, Physicians, and Mid-Level practitioners. The Emergency Department is equipped with all tools needed to safely care for any patient from central station cardiac monitoring to ultrasound equipment, to our EHR (Epic ASAP). All staff work together and in a supportive environment to make sure we have a safe environment for our staff & patients, working the most efficiently, and providing the highest level of satisfaction for our staff & patients.

The CRL is recognized as the clinical expert in Emergency services and is a leadership role model for Registered Nurses and all staff under their supervision. The CRL directs the work to ensure the overall movement of patients through the ED is managed in a safe and efficient manner. This leader will review the assignment of patient care activities assuring that staff is qualified to care for assigned patients. The CRL will support team members and ensure quality and service excellence to patients. They will also facilitate solutions for challenging patient care situations. The CRL will appropriately assign the workload and collaborate with manager to monitor and maintain staff performance.
 
 

Qualifications

•    BSN or related field- a qualified candidate in the process of completing the educational requirements will be considered.
•    Current CT RN license is required.
•    Charge nurse or supervisory experience required 3-5 years ED experience.
