The creation of the HHC System Support Office recognizes the work of a large and growing group of employees whose responsibilities are continually evolving so that we and our departments now work on behalf of the system as a whole, rather than a single member organization.
With the creation of our new umbrella organization we now have our own identity with a unique payroll, benefits, performance management system, service recognition programs and other common practices across the system.


Provide efficient, accurate and timely programmatic and management support to contribute to the success of the HHC legal, compliance and risk management departments by performing a variety of duties such as those that follow.    


Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, provide project management and legal support for departmental work and system level initiatives and projects as assigned and serve as a trusted partner to understand and deliver against legal, compliance and risk management priorities, each with professionalism, accuracy and urgency.


  1. Assist attorneys with corporate transactions to:
  • Prepare standard transaction documents such as NDAs and closing certificates
  • Order UCC and litigation searches, and summarize findings
  • Assist in satisfying closing conditions, including necessary consents to assignments with third party vendors
  • Prepare final documents for execution, with schedules and exhibits
  • Organize closing documents and assist with closing
  • Obtaining signatures for closing
  • Handle post-closing notifications to various departments


  1. Prepare electronic closing binders and, if required, hard copy closing binders  
  2. Collaborate on sensitive and confidential issues and information involving legal matters or other department or system issues with professionalism and discretion.
  3. Participate in department initiatives.
  4. Work effectively as a team member within the departments and with clients to provide quality service through communication, cooperation and collaboration.




  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Paralegal certificate or law degree preferred
  • Looking for a qualified and motivated candidate
  • Experience as a corporate paralegal or attorney is a plus
  • Paralegal certification or bar admission is preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:

  • Technical Knowledge: High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products, NetDocuments, Ntracts, Sharepoint, DocuSign, Vizio and claims management systems, intranet support and Peoplesoft.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Quality of Work: Ability to accurately prepare documents perform thorough review of information received to issue spot
  • Critical thinking: Proven analytical problem solver with a focus on process improvement in response to feedback from leadership. Demonstrate excellent judgment in the escalation of issues to management and the management of relationships. 
  • Project Management: Ability to intake a large volume of information, understand, coordinate, and complete project on time
  • Customer Service: Provide support to leadership to drive results. Flexible and solutions-oriented with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Confidentiality: High degree of confidentiality.
