The creation of the HHC System Support Office recognizes the work of a large and growing group of employees whose responsibilities are continually evolving so that we and our departments now work on behalf of the system as a whole, rather than a single member organization.

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

ITS Business Partner (ITSBP) has the overall responsibility to serve as the strategic interface with assigned Customer Groups and customer groups for the purpose of business technology strategic development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management. The ITSBP serves as the link to the business and IT at the executive level. The ITSBP provides highly valued strategic consulting level support and guidance through key ITS initiatives. They communicate decisions, priorities, relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff regarding business unit requests, projects and initiatives. They proactively share knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build competitive edge and efficiencies across the organization. They partner with business leadership and other key stakeholders to define opportunities and identify and prioritize projects based on predefined criteria (e.g. return on investment, compliance, patient safety) 

 

POSTION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

The ITSBP serves as a “trusted advisor” and is the primary point of contact to business executives and managers. They operate as the key business contact representing ITS in promoting IT services, quality and capabilities. The ITSBP focuses on strategic initiatives and planning activities for their business area and strives to understand market challenges. ITSBPs are proactive and anticipatory in their thinking and they are by nature, driven and provide significant value to the business units. ITBPs facilitate the intake process and the high-level planning and execution of business initiatives. They serve a lead role in enabling the business to achieve their objectives through the use of effective technology.

 

  • Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets for respective business areas.
  • Key liaison across all assigned Customer Groups, and in the ITS department. Become known as the “go to person” for all ITS services by the Customer Group leaders
  • As a Solution Architect, work with ITS Solution Consultants and Customer Group leaders to consider multiple right answers through Ideation and Discovery stages
  • Through the assigned Customer Groups, collaborate with other HHC Enterprise Solution providers such as Lean, Clinical Informatics, Process Improvement and H3W PMO to ensure alignment around expectations for ITS delivery
  • Through the ITS Discovery process, work with Solution consultants, ITS and operations teams to ensure solution compatibility with standards.
  • Collaboration with the Solution Center on the intake process and prioritization of candidate projects across the company.
  • Responsible to conduct periodic Quality Assurance reviews on major projects to ensure alignment with project scope, time line and resource commitments.
  • Contributes to Customer Group Road Map for technology enablers in support of the business and to the annual update of the ITS Strategic Plan
  • Oversight of Customer Group specific solution portfolio, including phase-in and phase-out plans, anticipation of gaps and overlaps, and developing sound rationale for continued investments. 
  • Collaboration with Customer Group leaders to identify major projects that will require capital and operating budgets in the fiscal year budget (ITS budget due in February).
  • Provides technical and application expertise to the Customer Group, either directly or indirectly through collaboration with ITS Solution Consultants
  • Accountable to manage all requests for ITS services including consultation on completion of Intake documentation and monitoring of request status
  • Coordination with other ITS functions as to the timing of solution delivery.
  • Rounding at leadership level.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 10 to 15 years of IT and business/industry work experience, with at least 3+ years of leadership experience and 5 years developing and executing strategic plans and/or project.
  • Strong analytical skills, including expertise in business economics and financial resources.
  • B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science, Business Administration, or another related field. Masters a plus
  • Business Partner Association Member
  • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to organize data, enter formulas, and create reports
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong general technology knowledge.
  • Proven ability to provide support to multiple users with varying needs.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail and advanced organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Proven analytical problem solver.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities.
  • Understanding of Enterprise technologies and where appropriate proficiencies in some of them.
