This position resides in the HHC System Support Office.  Our System Support Office recognizes the work of a large and growing group of employees whose responsibilities are continually evolving so that we and our departments now work on behalf of the system as a whole, rather than a single member organization.


The Manager of Talent Acquisition – Recruitment and Sourcing is responsible for the supervision and efficient operation of Talent Acquisition’s Recruitment and Sourcing teams.   Reporting to the Vice President of Talent Acquisition, this position will have oversight of all daily recruitment operation across an assigned part of the enterprise and will work with the TA leadership team to create and execute on Talent Acquisition’s long-term strategy. 

The successful candidate will also provide primary oversight of the day-to-day operation and ongoing creation of Hartford HealthCare’s passive sourcing strategy, including resource allocation, vendor management and website/CRM administration.  This position will have approximately 15 direct reports.


  • Direct recruiters and sourcing specialists on the execution of all day-to-day recruitment activities.

  • Partner within Talent Acquisition and with other HHC customers to create and deliver efficient, effective recruitment and sourcing campaigns targeting the right audience at the right time.

  • Leads HHC’s recruitment team by offering support and guidance regarding the creation of recruitment strategies to support critical areas of need.

  • Engages team members to continuously improve HHC’s recruitment and sourcing functions.

  • Partners with the Taleo Administrator to optimize, create and utilize appropriate technology to support sourcing workflows.  Specifically, acts as the superuser/subject matter expert for Hartford HealthCare’s career pages and Talemetry CRM.

  • Represents Hartford HealthCare in interactions with external vendors that impact recruitment and sourcing strategies, but especially Talemetry, Zip Recruiter, Indeed, Glassdoor and LinkedIn.  Performs necessary analysis of campaign results and negotiates contracts as appropriate.

  • Partners successfully with colleagues to promote and enhance Hartford HealthCare’s employee brand with external candidates.

  • Performs all management tasks for direct reports, including but not limited to performance management, work schedules and delegation of duties/assignments.



  • Bachelor’s degree required.  Master’s degree preferred.


  • A minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience working in a high volume recruitment environment required.
  • Previous experience working with recruitment vendors to maximize investment with demonstrated results required.
