The creation of the HHC System Support Office recognizes the work of a large and growing group of employees whose responsibilities are continually evolving so that we and our departments now work on behalf of the system as a whole, rather than a single member organization. With the creation of our new umbrella organization we now have our own identity with a unique payroll, benefits, performance management system, service recognition programs and other common practices across the system.
The Team Lead (Application Analyst) functions as a senior analyst while also supervising a team of application analysts, accountable for staff management functions including staff assignments, coaching/mentoring, performance management and other administrative duties. They work under the direction of the Application Director to configure, build & install the application. They coordinate all issues that arise during the project for their application area. Serve as a point of escalation for support and expert resource needs. Primary responsibilities include analyzing work flows and understanding policies, procedures and constraints of the clinical or business operations. In depth and precise investigation and documentation of operational specifications and application functionality is required. A key activity is to analyze new releases to determine how workflow should be modified. They function as the primary contact to troubleshoot problems and questions from end-users during training, go-live and post go-live periods. Attention to detail is a critical skill for this position. Successful candidates enjoy helping other users learn and adopt usage of the application.
Participates in the day to day supervision of team members including prioritization of work, coordination of resources, and performance management and development of staff
Collaborates and consults with the application director and other team leaders to coordinate activities
Manages daily operations and communications around claims and remittances
Demonstrates competency sufficient to provide assistance to team members to meet milestone dates or other project requirements
Understands the operational issues within their application area well enough to represent their users’ needs to Epic.
Accountable for managing the scope, schedule, and quality of the project within their respective area
Accountable for delivery of services produced by their respective team/area of responsibility; including but not limited to requirements, workflow, software functionality and integration
Ensures the design, validation sessions and build of the applications meet established standards and organizational needs
Facilitates development of integrated workflows by working closely with the project team, subject matter experts and technical leads to define processes that cross applications and functional areas
Collaborates and consults with the Application Director to coordinate activities
Engages the clinical and business community to ensure their voices are heard, their needs are met and they are kept informed of project progress
Demonstrates competency sufficient to provide assistance to application coordinators to meet milestone dates or other project requirements
Collaborates with vendor resources; plays an active role in managing the progress of the project on an ongoing basis.
Must attend EPIC training.
Preferred Epic Certifications in Cadence and Grand Central
Associates degree or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience in a Healthcare environment required
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business or a Clinical area is preferred
At least 5 years relevant experience in a challenging healthcare environment strongly preferred with a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience required
