Develops and implements aggressive and innovative recruitment and retention strategies for provider positions up to and including Chairs, for the Health System. Collaborates with Operations and Physician leaders to manage provider recruitment. Responsibilities include:
Partners with operations and physician leadership to design and implement strategies to meet Provider recruitment needs for the system including Hospitals and the Medical Group.
Develops and implements successful strategies for recruiting targeted providers including developing and executing innovative sourcing strategies to meet the Provider recruitment agenda.
Selects and attends national and local medical conferences.
Develops and maintains a close working relationship with candidates through the interview, negotiating and contracting processes.
Operates as an ambassador and advocate for Hartford HealthCare and its opportunities.
Cultivates relationships with academic partners to develop a continuous pipeline of physician and advanced practitioner candidates.
Develops key relationships within the department, Medical Group and Health system leadership; uses knowledge of department and Service Line issues to resolve recruitment needs and concerns.
Sources, screens and interviews candidates for physician positions.
Manages search progress from onset of search through contract signing.
With the Director of Provider Recruitment, develops offers that align with Fair Market Value, negotiates terms, and executes contracting standard work. Maintains HHC FMV documentation.
Competency in the use of the Taleo Applicant Tracking System to post positions, monitor and manage applicant workflow throughout the recruitment continuum.
Ensures physician recruiting efforts are consistent and in compliance with Federal, State and EEO regulations and HHC policies and procedures.
Remains current with internal and external factors that impact provider recruitment and retention. Maintains awareness of the national physician market.
Provides consultation and support to Senior Management in the establishment of organizational diversity goals, objectives, and strategies and develops/communicates plans to meet established goals.
Monitors internal and external legal developments impacting physician recruitment.
Manages the search firm relationship and process, as appropriate.
Participates in onboard and retention activities.
Participates in Workgroup Continuous Improvement initiatives. Manages projects as required.
Tracks data, produces and delivers reports to customers on recruitment, retention, compensation, etc.
Performs other duties as required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, required. Master’s Degree preferred.
Ability to work effectively and independently in a remote work environment.
Ability to work effectively in a complex, high volume work environment.
Demonstrated customer focus and expert relationship manager.
Expert in negotiations.
Effective communicator with a professional presentation.
Minimum of five (5) years recruiting experience, specifically in physician or executive level recruiting. Healthcare industry experience required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, utilization of applicant tracking systems and PeopleSoft experience preferred.
