The Clinical Intelligence Manager is responsible for developing a diverse team of developers and analysts working on a variety of projects and technologies on the clinical intelligence team. This position is responsible for supporting the strategic priorities of quality and safety, clinical informatics, research, and innovation by converting data into consumable and actionable insights through delivery of descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytical solutions of high complexity. Responsibilities include but, are not limited to the following:
Direct a team of advanced analytics who are experts in the discovery and delivery of analytics driven knowledge to support clinical and operational decision-making and to satisfy quality and regulatory reporting requirements.
Effectively hire, train, orient, coach/develop, and retain analytics team members capable of providing both advanced analytics and consulting services.
Provide thought leadership in the measurement of operational performance from the collection of data all the way to the application of insights derived from reports and analysis based on that data.
Ensures team members are working efficiently and effectively and are meeting project deadlines.
Develop and execute enterprise-wide change management, communication, and training plans for driving a data driven culture.
Collaborate with Clinical leadership teams to enhance analytic capabilities needed to drive performance improvement initiatives for the clinical councils, institutes and regions.
Design, implement, and maintain standard work for analytics development life cycle utilizing lean principles and tools.
Oversees the adoption of standard work for all aspects of the development lifecycle, including data extracts for internal and external purposes.
Assist in the development of data governance processes which entails documentation and implementation of data quality policies, procedures and standards to ensure a high level of data integrity
Provide leadership and technical guidance to identify system deficiencies, analyze problems and solutions to conclude and implement corrective action. Identify project risks and impediments; notify management; proactively work with other members of the team to complete assigned tasks as defined by project scope and timelines
Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required.
3-5 years of experience in health care analytics, relational and dimensional data and database schemas in a multi-platform environment
3-5 years’ experience in the healthcare industry working with Electronic Health Records and ERH (Epic preferred) analytical tools
Quality Improvement experience a plus
3-5 years of leading and developing an analytics team
Experience identifying and implementing best practices driving automation
Experience and comfortable interacting with senior executives and clinical leaders
Familiarity with data governance and security/privacy compliance
Experience with data access tools such as: SQL, SSIS, Oracle
Experience with data visualization tools like QlikView, QlikSense, or Tableau
