Hartford HealthCare, the largest and most integrated healthcare system in Connecticut, has a new opportunity available for a Neurosurgery Physician Assistant to join our talented APP team in the Fairfield region at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, located in Bridgeport, CT, in addition to outpatient practice at our Spine Wellness Center in Westport, CT. 

 

Some highlights include:

• The opportunity to work autonomously, but collaboratively with a newly recruited team of fellowship-trained attending neurosurgeons and APPs providing specialized care to spine patients including MIS and deformity, intracranial cases, neurovascular (both open and endovascular), peripheral nerve, and neurotrauma.
• A condensed work week of 4 10 hr. shifts
• Rotating weekend and on call coverage
• Opportunity for optional extra shifts at an extremely competitive rate
• Supportive mentorship and a cohesive team of providers
• Areas of responsibilities include: first assisting in the OR and interventional neuro suite, inpatient rounding and consults, outpatient practice, educational and department conferences, and opportunity to participate in clinical research. This position will be primarily focused on first assisting in the OR and inpatient coverage.
