Shift Details: Monday thru Friday, hours vary due to department needs. Weekends, Holidays and On-Call required.

The creation of the HHC System Support Office recognizes the work of a large and growing group of employees whose responsibilities are continually evolving so that we and our departments now work on behalf of the system as a whole, rather than a single member organization.
With the creation of our new umbrella organization we now have our own identity with a unique payroll, benefits, performance management system, service recognition programs and other common practices across the system.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the day to day operations of the team. Tasks include: Providing clear expectations for the team, perform daily rounding on the floors to coach, teach and mentor. 
  2. Maintains departmental schedule and completes bi-weekly payroll.
  3. Manages human resources to ensure quality services and promote positive employee relations.
  4. Effectively communicates department and organizational information to staff
  5. Exhibits excellent communication skills at all times.
  6. Interviews patients, their relatives and/or representatives to secure. Demographic and guarantor information necessary to complete the financial process.
  7. Completes interview to secure proper insurance data. Determines need for referrals, pre-certification; Verification of Insurance Coverage.
  8. Secures signatures, witnesses and explains financial responsibility forms, assignment and authorization, Consent for Uses and Disclosures of Protected Health Information, Important Message from Medicare, Advance Beneficiary Notice, etc., as determined necessary.
  9. Completes registration by giving instructions/directions and handouts as determined by the type of registration.
  10. Adheres to registration downtime procedures.
  11. Maintains expected professionalism at all times.
  12. Becomes cross-trained and performs other duties as directed/required
  13. Performs other related duties as assigned.
  14. Attends all required Safety Training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety and specific job related hazards.
  15. Staff Engagement; Patient Experience.
  16. Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.
  17. Complete LEAN Management training and proficient in leading daily huddles.



 Minimum Education:     

  •   Requires High School Diploma, Associate’s Degree in related healthcare field preferred
  • Strong communication skills required, both written and verbal
  • Requires organizational skills, the ability to prioritize, multitask and delegate
  • Supervisory experience required with the ability to lead, supervise, coordinate and hold staff accountable for workflow standards, productivity and behaviors
  • Requires experience in self directive activities and work teams
  • Ability to adapt and respond to constant changing work environment
  • Ability to problem solve and lead team process
  • Ability to be flexible to meet the needs of the Department
  • Required to participate in on-call coverage
  • Proficient with Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
