Job Shift: Shift 1
Shift Details: Day shift M-F with occasional early or late meeting.

JOB SUMMARY
The Medical Staff Specialist provides assistance to Medical Staff leadership, credentialing and privileging process and other operational issues for the department. 

Qualifications

Education:  High School diploma or equivalent required

 

Language Skills: Excellent written & verbal skills

 

Experience: Two (2) years of working experience in medical clerical role preferred.


Licensure, Certification, Registration: Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
• Knowledge of federal & state regulatory requirements
• Highly effective analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
• Adherence to Hartford Healthcare Leadership Behaviors and Core Values
• Strong facilitation skills
• Strong knowledge of performance improvement methodologies & statistical process control tools
• Skill in planning, organizing and delegating departmental responsibilities
