Shift Details: This is a morning to mid afternoon shift covering breakfast and lunch, with rotating weekends.

Responsible for service in all retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.

Job Description:


The Food & Nutrition Services Cashier performs delegated functions to serve all retail areas, including cashiering, simple food preparation, stocking, cleaning, and line serving. These activities are performed adhering to stringent food handling procedures and following all existing regulatory and department (hospital) standards, policies and procedures.

The Food & Nutrition Services Cashier serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner following outlined steps of service and relays relevant information to supervisor.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
  • 1 - 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to manage several tasks and set priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, recipes and procedure manuals.
