The Institute of Living, one of the first mental health centers in the U.S., remains one of America’s leading not-for-profit centers for patient care, research and education in the fields of behavioral, psychiatric and addiction disorder. Through our dedicated, experienced and skilled clinicians, we provide patients and their families with the highest quality of personalized care. Programs are offered for children, adolescents and adults struggling with mental illness as well as offering services specializing in Anxiety, Eating Disorders, and Geriatric Services.
The Olin Neuropsychiatry Research Center (www.nrc-iol.org), located in Hartford, CT and academically affiliated with Yale University, is an established clinical neuroscience research center at the Institute of Living that uses functional neuroimaging, genetic, and related technologies to better understand the neurobiological basis of psychiatric illnesses and to advance knowledge of successful treatment. Within the Clinical Neuroscience & Development Laboratory, this Research Assistant position is ideal for an individual with experience and/or aspirations for a professional career in clinical psychology or clinical neuroscience research on a graduate or medical school track.
Job Summary
Responsible for coordinating and overseeing recruiting, interviewing and collecting data on cognitive testing and biomedical data for multiple types of brain imaging studies in healthy populations and inpatients with a variety of neuropsychiatric conditions. Other responsibilities may include data scoring/entry, statistical data analyses, psychological literature searches and summaries, completion of reports detailing study progress. Potential for shared clinical and administrative duties across several federally-funded research projects. Reports to the Director and/or Lab chief.
