The Ayer Neuroscience Institute offers a unique integration between
neurology, neuroscience and neurosurgery, to give patients a comprehensive
approach to treating and/or managing their symptoms and living a healthier,
more balanced life. Treating more patients than any other center in the
region, our team of experts includes specialists in stroke, neuromuscular, neurosurgery
and general neurology. Our physicians practice some of the most advanced
treatments available in the nation, including minimally invasive brain and
spine surgery, at-home seizure monitoring and pain management. Together, we
remain at the forefront of neurological medicine and committed to excellence in
education, treatment, research, and care of patients with neurological
disorders and injuries. We offer an integrated, interdisciplinary

The Director ensures the achievement of the Ayer Neuroscience Institute’s core
strategies and operating results by providing collaborative leadership across
the Hartford Healthcare (HHC) system.
The Director provides leadership to the Institute which oversees the
full continuum of care for Neurosciences for the region. The Director has the
foundation of a team-oriented philosophy in concert with H3W leadership
behaviors, HHC values, lean standard work and strategies in a highly reliable
organization, dovetailed with support from not only the acute care organization
but the strength and growth of the Institute. As a champion of the Hartford
Healthcare culture, the Director espouses, practices and reinforces the safety

financial management expertise to the Institute for strategic planning,
budgeting, analysis and decision-making.
Acts as a liaison with other hospital facilities leadership to meet
the financial management information needs of the Institute.

and the Institute’s initiatives. Coordinates the preparation and
monitoring of the Institute budget and oversees the monthly report of
financial performance as well as other regulatory and benchmarking

Degree in related field and Master's Degree in Health Administration,
Nursing or similar focus area required.

created change, in multiple areas of Neuroscience in an acute care
experience working with LEAN principles to engineer positive outcome
in Nursing or Neuroscience clinical practice preferred

teaching/nonteaching) and appreciate their contributions to the strategic
