Natchaug Hospital is Eastern Connecticut’s leading provider for children, adolescents and adults with mental illness and substance abuse addictions. We offer a variety of programs including inpatient and outpatient behavioral health, residential treatment for court-involved teenage girls, geriatric services, clinical day treatment schools and chemical dependency services. Job Summary

This position reports directly to the Manager of Facilities.   This Supervisor of Facilities role has responsibilities that include both administrative responsibilities while supporting a variety of functions in the department.  When necessary, this role also provides hands on assistance or training to facilitate the completion of required maintenance tasks.  The primary focus of this position is to ensure efficient daily operations of the maintenance department, Hospital and ambulatory departments’ compliance of Regulatory Standards and Requirements which includes environment of care and life safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in building or property maintenance, 5+ years preferred
  • Experience in a supervisory position, 2+ years preferred
  • General knowledge of the environment of care and life safety requirements for hospitals and behavioral health facilities required
  • Understanding, knowledge, and hands on experience with general maintenance, HVAC, basic electrical, Landscaping, Plumbing, and general carpentry required
  • General computer skills in order to create and assign work orders and run automated HVAC software required
  • Certification in asbestos operations a strong plus
