Programs are offered for children, adolescents and adults struggling with mental illness as well as offering services specializing in Anxiety, Eating Disorders, and Geriatric Services.

Job Summary

The Team Lead oversees daily unit operations, including staff scheduling, documentation audits, budget monitoring, and expenditure management. They provide coaching, coordinate staff training, and assist with staff development while supporting crisis management and conflict resolution. This role fosters teamwork, ensures compliance with organizational standards, and provides administrative support to the Program Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Performs all essential functions of a residential counselor.
  2. Coordinates day-to-day operations of the unit, including scheduling/assigning work, resolving problems, collecting data to monitor progress, and managing a workload.
  3. Audits documentation of residential counselors for accuracy, content, and timeliness.
  4. Teaches staff Lean Daily Management and ensures the maintenance of the Lean Huddle Board.
  5. Monitors established budgets, approves expenditures, and oversees the ordering and maintenance of supplies.
  6. Manages commercial credit cards, including receipt oversight and monthly coding.
  7. Approves staff schedules and vacation requests while assisting with Kronos scheduling.
  8. Implements and monitors departmental goals and objectives in alignment with organizational strategies.
  9. Analyzes needs, develops recommendations, and sets performance expectations while coaching, developing, and contributing to staff performance evaluations.
  10. Provides crisis management support to clients and staff, resolves conflicts, and educates employees on client service.
  11. Communicates effectively with staff, management, and clients to ensure the flow of information necessary for success.
  12. Models teamwork and fosters collaboration within and outside the work group to support organizational objectives.
  13. Coordinates and oversees the training and orientation of new staff, ensuring all documentation and training are completed.
  14. Maintains unit and staff records and provides administrative support to the Program Manager as needed.
  15. Manages and maintains client charts, ensuring proper storage and serving as the point person for off-site record storage coordination.
  16. Actively pursues self-improvement by identifying areas for growth and staying current with required competencies.
  17. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Psychology, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience with adults with chronic mental illness
  • 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a residential or mental health setting
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with familiarity in budget management and scheduling
  • Effective crisis management and conflict resolution skills
  • Valid Public Service License
