Shift Details: 8a-430pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8a-530p Thursday 8am-330p Friday

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Site Supervisor and/or Department Director, the Patient Representative performs a variety of secretarial, billing and clerical duties. Responsibilities include: utilizing the electronic medical record (EMR) to schedule initial evaluations and follow up appointments and process patient charges; coordinating referrals; preparing the proper paperwork and collecting pertinent patient information; answering phones; performing other related duties as assigned. The Patient Representative provides support to the clinical staff to provide optimum service to patients.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • Experience in a fast-paced medical office highly preferred.
  • Epic experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of insurance requirements
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Basic working knowledge of medical terminology.
