St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport has more than 3,200 employees. It includes a 473-bed community teaching hospital, a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Westport, a large multispecialty provider group, and special needs services for adults and children. St. Vincent’s is the first hospital in Fairfield County to be integrated into the Hartford HealthCare network, and is the system’s second-largest hospital.

SVMC Holdings, Inc, doing business as St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT (“SVMC”), seeks a full-time Periop Services Business & Data Manager to work with Department of Surgery leadership to analyze current operational systems and recommend changes to increase effectiveness and efficiency in workflow process; coordinate development of and produce monthly statistical reports and trend analysis that track efficiency metrics, block utilization, and cost awareness; maintain the Block Schedule for all Perioperative areas; assist with developing business plans, including but not limited to new value-added surgical programs as well as assessment reviews documenting the value of current programs; work closely with leadership team and Supply Chain to ensure accurate billing and allocation of supplies and materials within the service line; complete a thorough analysis of costs-initiatives and identify cost-savings opportunities; participate on the local and system clinical value analysis team committees; support volume growth initiatives by participating in outreach to surgeons and their office staff; help prepare annual operating, capital, and volume budgets and surgical targets; oversee the Operating Room and GI Scheduling Office and manage one to three Schedulers and the Operating Room Scheduler and Billing Supervisor.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements: possession of at least a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field and at least two years' experience in any occupation involving the coordination and implementation of budget, finance, and/or operations projects/initiatives. Such experience must involve Operating Room (OR) inventory management, in partnership with Supply Chain; identifying and implementing OR cost-savings initiatives; and oversight of periop/OR efficiency metrics.
