The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital, we provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties. The Administrative Assistant Contributes to the overall success of the Pharmacy Department by providing multi-dimensional complex administrative support to leadership in a manner which requires self-direction, creativity, and independent and discretionary judgment. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative functions such as:

·        Maintaining leaders calendars, including independently creating, rescheduling, and prioritizing appointments for both internal and external commitments, ensuring priorities are accomplished and unplanned items are address appropriately.

·        Generating correspondence and preparing presentations and creating and manipulating Excel spreadsheets for data compilation.

·        Responsible for handling confidential information and for exercising appropriate judgment.

Qualifications

Education: 

·        High School Diploma, Associates Degree preferred

Experience: 

·        2-5 years administrative support preferably in a health care setting


Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:


·        Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

·        Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

·        High degree of confidentiality

·        Requirement to register (and train) as a pharmacy technician.
