The Patient Representative acts as an extension of the provider in the Congestive Heart Failure Clinic. As such, the Patient Representative must at all times exemplify customer service skills consistent with that of the department. In addition, to ensure safe and accurate delivery of care, and follow-up care, it is extremely important that accurate demographic information be obtained from patients at every visit. Responsible for patient scheduling, preregistration, registration and insurance authorization.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
· One year experience in administrative support or customer service required
· Two or more years experience in medical office preferred
· Knowledge of medical terminology & hospital scheduling preferred
· Ability to answer and direct phone calls and manage reception
· Excellent organization and communication skills
