Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network is the premier rehabilitation provider in Connecticut. We provide rehabilitation services across the continuum - acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, sub-acute rehabilitation, homecare, outpatient centers, and in community settings such as senior centers, work sites, and schools and colleges. We offer over 30 outpatient locations with a variety of specialists, including oncology, women’s health, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language, we are known for our commitment to high quality, customer focused outcomes.

 

Overview

We are looking for a leader to join our outpatient team in South Windsor, CT.

In this leadership position, you will collaborate with a motivated and energetic rehabilitation team. This is a wonderful opportunity for continuum of care and best practice creation for different patient populations. In addition, you will have an opportunity to collaborate with the inpatient rehab and Occupational Health departments at Hartford Hospital and develop relationships with colleagues in area. Position reports to Area Director & Regional Director.

Specialty programs in the office include general orthopedics, low back pain management, balance and fall prevention (safe steps), cancer rehabilitation, dry needling, hand therapy, lymphedema, sports medicine, surgical weight loss, vestibular and more!


Position Description

Position is Monday-Friday, full time, 40 hours/week, with some evenings required until 7pm. This is a treating/management position. In addition to direct patient care responsibilities, position ensures that high quality, cost effective services are delivered in support of the organizations strategic plan, goals and objectives. The Site Supervisor also manages site resources: human, material, and financial, in order to ensure quality, cost-effective delivery of patient services for specific patient populations who require the needs of outpatient physical therapy.  This is accomplished either by direct action, delegation or coaching and support of self-directed work teams or individuals.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the development of meaningful goals and objectives for the department that align with the strategic direction of the organization by analyzing needs and developing recommendations.  Communicating the goals and objectives to the staff and monitors progress during the year.
  • Establishing performance expectations; coaching, developing, and evaluating performance to enable employees to be successful in contributing to the achievement of individual and department objectives.  Informing and advising superior on hiring and disciplinary actions.
  • Contributing to the efficient operation of the unit by establishing priorities, eliminating impediments, and resolving problems.  Continually striving to improve the quality and productivity of the department by establishing priorities, monitoring performance measurements, identifying and recommending improvement opportunities, and eliminating obstacles.
  • Actively seeking opportunities to model teamwork through collaboration both within and outside the department in support of the organization's objectives.

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years relevant clinical experience in the field.
  • Experience in a Manager/Supervisor position highly preferred.  
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Current CT Physical Therapist (PT) license.
  • Strong communications skills required – both written and verbal.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint as well as electronic health records and other software applications.
  • Ability to solve problems and work independently with minimal direction.
  • Teamwork and mentoring skills required.
  • History of strong leadership, communication and clinical skills required.
