The Neuro-Surgical ICU is a 17 bed adult in-patient unit caring for critically ill Neuro patients. Our patients have diagnosis of stroke, head or spinal cord trauma and brain hemorrhage. They require nurses specializing in intra-cranial and hemo-dynamic monitoring along with the use of vaso-active medications. We are currently hiring RN’S who are motivated and have advanced critical thinking skills for this rewarding and exciting specialty.
Job Summary
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Associate performs delegated functions as a member of a patient care team to provide a variety of services. These activities contribute to meeting the health care, safety and comfort needs of patients, and are performed in accordance with all existing regulatory and hospital standards, policies and procedures. Reports to Unit Manager.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Ability to perform physical effort as specified by position physical requirements and occupational exposure form.
High School Diploma or equivalent education.
Nursing Students, CNA, EMT or MA preferred.
Previous patient care experience, preferably in a hospital or acute-care setting preferred.
CPR Certification - American Heart Association - required prior to start date.
