The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital, we provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties. Duties
Maintenance Worker's are responsible for the maintenance and repair of hospital building systems and equipment.
Responsibilities:
Performs inspections of buildings systems and equipment.
Responsible for the maintenance and operation of equipment such as, nurses call systems, hospital beds, stretchers, wheelchairs, door lock hardware and other building systems.
Has an understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting and carpentry trades.
Responsible for timely completion of work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
Coordinates works and assists with other trades in the maintenance department as well as with outside vendors and contractors.
Reads and interprets schematics and blue prints, as needed.
Maintains required information to document maintenance tasks and new installations.
Communicates potential equipment and system issues to the Director of Engineering.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent.
Formal training in plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 5 years experience in a building maintenance environment.
