The Office Coordinator will provide coordination of service within the Infusion Center. The Office Coordinator will also perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties including but not limited to: scheduling of appointments, obtaining insurance pre-authorizations, verifying patient appointments, typing correspondence, and ordering supplies. Responsibilities include but, are not limited to:

  • Oversee all front office functions and maintains department organization
  • Performs various administrative functions including reception, phones, data entry,  filing and related computer tasks
  • Schedules oncology clinic, infusion room, genetic counselor, and procedure appointments as needed
  • Communicates effectively and acts as a liaison between office personnel, infusion center personnel, physicians, patients, hospital personnel, and patient accounts
  • Researches and obtains resolution for missing dictations/charts, encounter forms, and other documents to facilitate efficient billing procedures and operations
  • Assists physicians and infusion staff with enrolling and tracking patients in various monitoring programs
  • Assists patients and physicians regarding patient payment/billing concerns and notifies appropriate personnel to obtain resolution
  • Provides lead coordination and expert knowledge of the electronic scheduling system

Qualifications

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced medical office
• Epic experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of insurance requirements
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Basic working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to travel independently to satellite offices with or without advanced notice.
