We all know someone who has struggled with addiction, and the toll that alcohol and drugs can take. That’s why the  Hartford HealthCare Behavioral Health Network and Rushford will be opening The Ridge Recovery Center, a first of its kind facility in Windham, CT. Located on 55 secluded acres off Route 32,  The Ridge will combine evidence-based treatment with wellness activities and amenities in a private, professional setting that includes private rooms, larger gathering areas, private meeting rooms, a comfortable dining room, fitness gym, and office space. The site also includes peaceful outdoor spaces and walking trails ideal for those in recovery who want to exercise, do yoga or go bird watching, just to name a few activities.

 

Job Summary

Responsible for developing and maintaining excellent relationships with existing HHC clients and referring sources, as well as developing relationships with clients and external referral sources.  Plans and implements relationship building efforts with HHC partners in alignment with Rushford’s strategic business goals to achieve growth targets through service excellence and regular customer visits. Consistently carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

 

Job Description

  1. Develops and enhances relationships and alliances with HHC entities as well as with new customers and referral sources: (may include, but not limited to) HHC healthcare providers, unions, employee and labor assistance programs, HHC hospitals, HHC crisis teams, and HHC mental health providers.
  2. Actively works as a liaison within the HHC system as well as with local professional referral sources to promote and increase awareness of Rushford Center's services, value and credibility with the goal of acquiring client referrals. Conducts face to face or phone assessment to establish appropriate treatment recommendations and ensure smooth connection to care.

  3. Assists the Director of Adult Residential Services in developing, adjusting and implementing strategic business plans appropriate to Rushford Center's/HHC’s mission and goals for its overall operations and return on investment objectives.  Identifies opportunities for Business Development at the facility level and monitors network facility quality issues to ensure achievement of business goals.

  4. Collaborates with other Rushford Center departments to meet patient needs and business goals. Addresses and resolves customer complaints and problems within sphere of control and authority. Interacts with colleagues in Admissions and Call Center, as well as Clinical Operations to ensure closing of appropriate business opportunities, consistent delivery of services and customer satisfaction.

  5. Partners with HHC Marketing and BHN Sales teams and represents Rushford Center at promotional events local conferences, including meetings, political events and other activities as assigned. 

  6. Manages responsibilities in such a manner as to ensure productive, efficient, and cost-effective management of time and resources.  Creates and maintains a tracking system of contacts, referrals, and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Masters in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, Nursing or equivalent is preferred
  • Three years' experience in addiction treatment
  • Outreach, community, or emergency department experience is a plus
  • Healthcare sales/marketing experience is a plus
  • LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LADC, or LMSW licensure is a plus
  • RN licensure is a plus
  • Valid Connecticut driver's license
  • Able to travel throughout the state of Connecticut
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
