Physician, Perioperative Medicine, HARTFORD HOSPITAL

Hartford Hospital seeks an Internal Medicine Physician to join us in our Perioperative services / Pre-admission testing (PAT) center.

Hartford Hospital, located in Hartford, CT, is one of the largest regional referral centers in New England with over 40,000 surgical procedures performed annually.  The Perioperative Medicine program includes Pre-Admission Testing Centers (PATC) on the main campus of Hartford Hospital and satellite locations in Hartford County. 

The PAT team evaluates patients planned for elective surgery with a comprehensive history and physical and appropriate testing/subspecialty referrals. Our program initiatives have demonstrated a significant reduction in length of stay, postoperative complications, and readmissions for our surgical population.

Position Qualifications/Descriptions:

  • Internal medicine residency-trained (MD or DO equivalent) with a minimum of three (3) years of experience
  • Board certification is required
  • Full-time, 40-hour work week, weekdays only (No weekend call) with scheduling flexibility
  • 100% Clinical 
  • Ability to work closely with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Residents, Nursing and students and collaborate with anesthesia providers and surgeons.
