Job Responsibilities

  1. Provides day-to-day supervision of the Residential Program staff members, including recruitment and performance evaluation.
  2. Maintains appropriate schedule and record keeping.
  3. Supervises overall residential milieu, assessing situations, making sound judgments regarding the well being of clients, and performing daily inspections of the unit.
  4. Participates in the hiring of line staff members; including screening, interviewing, and closely monitoring during on boarding phases.
  5. Orients new staff and ensures that required trainings are scheduled.
  6. Participates in the progressive disciplinary process when necessary and adds feedback for annual performance appraisals.
  7. Facilitates regular staff meetings and ensures staff attends required training programs.
  8. Mentors staff in the milieu by providing support and demonstrating therapeutic interactions with clients.
  9. Develops an on-call schedule within guidelines designated by Program Manager and remains available during those times to provide support and intervene in crisis situations when necessary.
  10. Completes all required paperwork and makes necessary notifications during a crisis.
  11. Develops line staff schedule, ensuring that the client to staff ratio is always maintained.
  12. Arranges for coverage when there is a call-out and enters into ratio when necessary.
  13. With the Program Manger, develops individual behavior interventions, as necessary, for clients who are having difficulty with the program schedule or rules.
  14. Works closely with school staff to ensure communication between the school and unit is maintained so that behaviors at school are addressed uniformly.
  15. Ensures that staff completes daily paperwork including tracking packets and PNMI-compliant residential milieu notes.
  16. Works closely with Clinicians to develop residential milieu-specific objectives and interventions to be included in monthly treatment plans.
  17. Provides Clinicians with reports of progress on objectives and revises objectives and interventions as needed to meet client's needs. 

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree Required; Bachelors Degree Preferred. Will accept years of related experience as substitute for education.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a closely related field.
  • Must possess and maintain CPR, First Aid, Rushford restraint certifications and a PSL.
  • Medication Administration - must be active and maintained.
