Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network is the premier rehabilitation provider in Connecticut. We provide rehabilitation services across the continuum - acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, sub-acute rehabilitation, homecare, outpatient centers, and in community settings such as senior centers, work sites, and schools and colleges. We offer over 30 outpatient locations with a variety of specialists, including oncology, women’s health, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language, we are known for our commitment to high quality, customer focused outcomes.
Job Summary
Per Diem, Monday – Friday, Days/Evenings.
Must be open to hours between 7:00am-7:00pm.
This is a float Patient Service Representative position. Location will vary depending on business need and applicants must be willing and able to travel to all outpatient locations with Hartford Hospital’s Rehabilitation Network. Patient Service Representative (PSR) is responsible for the smooth operations of all the front desk/reception area functions as well as other administrative/clerical duties within outpatient office. Responsibilities include but are not limited to overall customer service, patient registration, scheduling and insurance verification. Reports to Manager.
Qualifications
Morning shift coverage required as early as 7am.
Evening shift coverage required, up to 7pm.
Travel to various locations required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Basic computer operating knowledge and basic math skills for handling monetary transactions required.
Highly preferred: Medical office experience, advanced secretarial education, knowledge of medical terminology and third party billing/reimbursement.
Critical Success Factors: Exemplary customer service skills. Excellent interpersonal written and verbal skills are required. Ability to work and handle a fast paced diversified working environment. Requires effective organizational and interpersonal skills needed for anticipating and reacting to various needs of both patients and medical personnel. Ability to multi-task and address multiple priorities simultaneously.
