This position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining an audit and education plan for the internal staff and external entities involved with the Transplant Program and Comprehensive Liver Center financial transactions. These include Hospital and Professional billing for all patient population (Government and Commercial Ins); using different techniques, applications, terms & conditions ( EPIC and internal statistical data management). The individual is responsible for auditing all of the clinic charging process which includes designing, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures, as well as streamlining and identifying areas of improvement in our current processes across the multiple clinics and different transplant centers. This position is highly visible and requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, organize and verify all the pertinent records linked to department charges (physician encounters/charges, reports, authorizations, referrals, etc.)
2-3 years in implementing, enforcing and audit or revenue cycle role. Demonstrated experience analyzing data, reviewing results and responding to provide education or change a process
ICD 10 and CPT Code proficiency
4-5 years in an audit role, training or revenue cycle role
Prior analytical experience with financials, billing processes, Medicare Organ Acquisition cost report, collection agency, customer service or a regulatory environment
EPIC HB and PB billing module
