The creation of the HHC System Support Office recognizes the work of a large and growing group of employees whose responsibilities are continually evolving so that we and our departments now work on behalf of the system as a whole, rather than a single member organization.
With the creation of our new umbrella organization we now have our own identity with a unique payroll, benefits, performance management system, service recognition programs and other common practices across the system.


The ITS Manager, Instructional Design works under the guidance of the ITS Implementation Director to perform management duties that support training in information systems throughout HHC.  The ITS Manager, Instructional Design will be responsible for leading the instructional design process and work products for all Instructional Designers (IDs).  The ITS Manager, Instructional Design is expected to drive the quality and consistency of all content and training materials.  The ITS Manager, Instructional Design will recruit, train, mentor and supervise all IDs in the development of training material and the execution of end user training.

The ITS Manager, Instructional Design will also manage day-to-day operational aspects of assigned projects and their affiliated scope.  The ITS Manager, Instructional Design will adhere to the HHC ITS Training Project Management Guidelines.  This includes developing an appropriate vision, expectations, communications, and execution of any assigned projects.   


  • Collaborates with the ITS Implementation Director to maintain work plans, issues list, decision lists, risks and status reports.
  • Tracks and reports team duties and expenses on a weekly basis.
  • Maintains strong rapport with ITS Project Team Leadership and organizational development and training departments.
  • Attends Education meetings-Training Advisory Council as well as other education meetings to keep a pulse on new initiatives and Epic involvement.
  • Effectively communicates relevant project information to supervisor.
  • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely manner according to the HHC Training Project Management Guidelines.
  • Ensure that all ITS Training resources or staff maintain project documentation on SharePoint or other document repositories.
  • Coordinates and balances skills along with strengths and weaknesses of ITS training team members when making assignments.  Looks for opportunities to develop the project management skills of the junior members of the ITS training staff.
  • Communicate upward, downward and laterally within the HHC organization.
  • Keeps the ITS Training staff well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.




  • Bachelor's degree with Master's degree optional.
  • At least 2 years' experience Epic training or knowledge of Epic training preferred.
  • At least 3 years' management experience.
  • Experience in healthcare field is preferred.
  • Work experience may not substitute for minimum education requirement.
  • Due to sensitive security and financial responsibilities, must successfully pass Credit/Financial screenings.
