Job Summary:
Ensure the successful implementation of Hartford Hospital and Charlotte Hungerford Hospital’s mission and goals by independently leading and managing the Communications initiatives of the Philanthropy Department.
Key areas of responsibility |
Role: Working with development professionals, the Associate Director plans, creates, coordinates, and produces print, digital, and electronic content to support the development and donor-relations activities of Hartford Hospital, Charlotte Hungerford Hospital and, when appropriate, Hartford HealthCare. The Associate Director is an essential resource and partner for the Philanthropy team in terms of producing messaging and materials to promote the philanthropic activities of Hartford Hospital and Charlotte Hungerford and its volunteer fundraisers as well as to recognize and steward donors.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements
•Outstanding written communication skills, including the ability to write and create materials for a variety of uses and audiences, and superior editing and interviewing skills.
•Creativity in developing marketing and communications for different audience segments in addition to excelling in the creation of traditional development materials.
•Ability to synthesize and translate complex information into exciting and persuasive communication
•Knowledge of principles of graphic design.
•Advanced knowledge of print and digital medium, and familiarity with all forms of existing and emerging media.
•Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with diverse, high-level constituencies, including senior administrators.
•Tact, good judgment, and high level of discretion required for confidential campaign and donor information.
