Job Summary:

Responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks related to the Interpreter Services in support of providing the best care and safer experience through the ability to communicate with everyone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the monthly colleagues 40 hours training classes ensuring attendees are notified and annual follow ups are completed in a timely manner.  Maintains current records of attendees and continuing education requirement
  • Develops and maintains a position relationship with iTi [language services provider]; serves as a key communicator between HHC and iTi operations team; ensures assignments are fulfilled, monitors service relationships; responds to all client/ service issues, facilities resolution of issues and follow up to full remediation. Serves as liaison between department and service provider.
  • Communicates with appropriate internal colleagues and management to provide current/new information on interpreting services.
  • Organizes and coordinates the handling of HHC’s on site interpreting IPADS, provides on spot usage demonstration and troubleshoots IPADs as needed.
  • Support Guests’ Services daily function and work flow
  • Provide general administrative support: various data entry tasks utilizing spreadsheet or database with accuracy and timeliness; compose routine correspondence; maintains department files/logs; reconcile reports, maintains appointment schedules including iTi schedules; create reports which provides utilization and trends.
  • Participates in special projects and other related administrative tasks as required

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associate degree preferred.
  • Two (2) year administrative experience included includes customer service experience
  • Prior experience providing interpretation services preferred.
  • Bi-lingual – English and Spanish preferred.
