Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network is the premier rehabilitation provider in Connecticut. We provide rehabilitation services across the continuum - acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, sub-acute rehabilitation, homecare, outpatient centers, and in community settings such as senior centers, work sites, and schools and colleges. We offer over 30 outpatient locations with a variety of specialists, including oncology, women’s health, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language, we are known for our commitment to high quality, customer focused outcomes.
 

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic leader to provide single-site leadership and clinical care for our outpatient physical and occupational therapy practice in Glastonbury. This leader will be a part of a larger dynamic leadership team that works together to provide oversight to all Orthopedic Associates of Hartford therapy practices. In this leadership position, you will collaborate with motivated and energetic rehabilitation team. Opportunity for continuum of care and best practice creation for different patient populations. In addition, you will have an opportunity to collaborate with orthopedic physicians within the practice and expand your skill set while working with an experienced team of clinicians.
 

This is an orthopedic based office treating a variety of orthopedic cases including sports medicine, hand therapy, dry needling, musculoskeletal disorders, osteoporosis, work injury rehab and more!
 

Position Summary

  • Manages a work area or specific function to ensure that a high quality, cost-effective product or service is delivered by the department in support of the hospital's strategic plan, and the function's goals and objectives.
  • Contributes to the development of meaningful goals and objectives for the department that align with the strategic direction of the organization by analyzing needs and developing recommendations.  Communicates the goals and objectives to the staff and monitors progress during the year.
  • Establishes performance expectations; coaches, develops, and evaluates performance to enable employees to be successful in contributing to the achievement of individual and department objectives.  Informs and advises superior on hiring and disciplinary actions.
  • Contributes to the efficient operation of the unit by establishing priorities, eliminating impediments, and resolving problems.  Continually strives to improve the quality and productivity of the department by establishing priorities, monitoring performance measurements, identifying and recommending improvement opportunities, and eliminating obstacles.
  • Actively seeks opportunities to model teamwork through collaboration both within and outside the department in support of the organization's objectives.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
  • 3+ years in the field
  • Experience managing and developing employees required (1 year of leadership experience preferred)
  • Strong communications skills required - both written and verbal

 

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as electronic health records and other software applications
