Under the direction of the Clinical Manager, the Medical Administrative Associate performs a variety of administrative duties. Responsibilities include: coordinating physician schedules and specialty screenings, utilizing the electronic medical record (EMR) to schedule follow up and specialty appointments and process patient charges; coordinating referrals; preparing the proper paperwork and collecting pertinent patient information; answering phones; performing other related duties as assigned. The Medical Administrative Associate provides support to the office staff to provide optimum service to patients.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent with minimum of 2-3 years of administrative/secretarial experience in a hospital or physician office. Knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
