Job Summary:   Performs EKGs and assists in management of Muse EKG management system. Applies holter, event and ambulatory blood pressure monitors. Prepares patients for cardiac stress testing.   Maintains department inventories.  Performs receptionist/scheduler duties. Provides clerical support for Cardiac Rehab. Provides department transport support.  Demonstrates knowledge of care for required age-specific populations necessary to carry out safe and effective performance of duties.

Key areas of responsibility 
1.     Performs department receptionist/scheduler duties
2.     Prepares patients for cardiac stress testing and assists in other stress test duties as needed.  
3.     Applies holter, event and ambulatory blood pressure monitors; educates patient on proper use and removal of equipment.
4.     Performs EKGs and assists in the management of the Muse EKG system
5.     Provides clerical support for Cardiac Rehab
6.     Maintains department inventories.
7.     Provides department transport support as needed

Qualifications

Education:  High school education or equivalent.  

Experience: Medical Assistant (MA) , Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) , Patient Care Tech (PCT) or relevant direct patient care experience. EKG experience preferred.

Licensure, Certification, Registration: Ability to obtain and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
