Shift Details: 4 days a week 7:30a-5:00p

The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital, we provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties. Radiology RN is responsible for providing, promoting and maintaining quality patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures through education, standards of practice, professional growth and collaboration with other multidisciplinary health care providers. This is accomplished by a complete and thorough process of assessing, diagnosing, planning, coordination, teaching, counseling, and facilitating the care of patients. Incorporates the needs and behavior of the patient’s specific age group in planning and providing care. Participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Current RN license in state of Connecticut.  3-5 years of critical care nursing experience required.

Critical Success Factors:

  • Previous experience in Critical Care, Emergency Department, PACU or Radiology nursing highly preferred.  
  • Self-directed in the management of patient care.  
  • ACLS certification.  
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.  
  • Independent problem solving skills.
