Department Description:

The Legal Department provides a wide range of legal services throughout the HHC System. Our attorneys and support staff have experience in various specialties regarding healthcare.

Position Summary:

Provide efficient, accurate and timely administrative and management support to contribute to the success of the HHC Legal Department by performing a variety of duties such as those that follow.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead contract management process, including intake and evaluation of contract requests, preparing drafts of contracts for attorney and client review, and ensuring contract compliance following standard procedures with attorney oversight and participation. 
  • Manage and maintain department contract management software applications, including as needed Ntracts, Sharepoint and others, as assigned. 
  • Provide training and education on contract software applications to HHC operations leaders and support staff, and members of the legal department. 
  • Continuously analyze, improve, and enhance contract management workflow, and performance of contract applications. 
  • Monitor and report on data maintained in applications, including on department performance measures.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other department staff on sensitive and confidential issues and information involving legal matters or other department or system issues.
  • Participate in department initiatives.
  • Work effectively as a team member within the department and with clients to provide quality service through communication, cooperation and collaboration.


Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of five years of relevant experience with at least two years of contract management experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products, NetDocuments, Ntracts, Serengeti, Sharepoint, Vizio, Meditract, intranet support and Peoplesoft.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to accurately prepare drafts of contracts for legal and client review and perform thorough review of information received to issue spot
  • Proven analytical problem solver with a focus on process improvement in response to feedback from leadership. Demonstrate excellent judgment in the escalation of issues to management and the management of relationships. 
  • Provide support to leadership to drive results. Flexible and solutions-oriented with the ability to work under pressure. 
  • Ability to intake a large volume of information, understand, coordinate, and complete project on time
  • High degree of confidentiality.
