Job Description:


Responsible for the decontamination, assembly and sterilization of a variety of medical and surgical supplies, packs and equipment to support the Main Operating Room, Ambulatory Surgery, and Labor & Delivery departments. Responsibilities may include: training employees, monitoring performance for adherence to quality standards, managing the departmental schedule, timekeeping, responding to and solving service concerns from other departments while escalating issues to management as appropriate.


Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED

Minimum Requirements

  • Previous experience in Central Service or Sterile Processing required
  • CSPDT certified (or eligible); willing to become certified within 18 months of hire
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
  • Must be detail-oriented with good problem solving skills
  • 6 months - 1 year of experience in a hospital setting with direct patient contact or equivalent education in a health care related field is required. Previous college coursework and leadership experience is very highly preferred. Basic computer skills including Word are also required. In addition, this role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills and an ability to exercise good judgment and provide outstanding customer service.
