Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is one of the largest medical practices in New England with multiple locations throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island. We consist of a team of professionals ranging from Medical Assistants to Physician Assistants and everything in between. Our physician led medical group enjoys an excellent reputation with patients and the medical community, offering primary care, urgent care and more than 30 different specialties.

Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist for Cardiology service line in Fairfield County.  As the Team Lead, responsibilities will include direct oversight of nuclear testing in all locations, ensuring nuclear testing policy adherence in accordance with Hospital regulatory requirements.  The Team Lead is responsible for direct oversight and management of the practice’s nuclear accreditation, monitoring quality and compliance across the service line.

  • Performs all duties of a Nuclear Medicine technologist
  • Works with site management to obtain staff scheduling and obtains additional staff coverage, as needed.
  • Coordinates training of new and current technologists, open/decommissioning nuclear departments in the outpatient testing sites.
  • Oversees procedure and nuclear testing policy maintenance across all sites
  • Monitors employee productivity and reports findings to manager. Observes staff to monitor quality and adherence to department procedures. Quality Improvement meetings for all cardiology testing sites in the Fairfield County service line

 

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program

3-5 years of Nuclear Medicine experience

Registered in NMTCB

  • Excellent computer and organizational skills
  • Effectively able to troubleshoot and manage application and equipment related issues with PACS system and Biomedical Engineering
  • Works efficiently and effectively under pressure 
  • Demonstrates excellent judgment and the ability to promote a collaborative, strong team dynamic 
  • Effective leadership and strong communication skills
  • Must be able to communicate and engage with the physicians directly to ensure all sites are in compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements
