Hartford HealthCare has a new opportunity available for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide primarily inpatient Electrophysiology services in Hartford, CT, and at additional sites throughout Connecticut. 

 

Some highlights of this opportunity include:

  • The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will work in an inpatient setting and will be responsible for evaluation of new patients with various cardiac rhythm problem, assessing and managing arrhythmia patients, pre-admission testing for cardiac EP procedures, cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED) checks, and remote monitoring for CIEDs. Facilitating work up and therapeutic procedures including cardiac implanted electronic devices-CIEDs- (pacemakers and implantable defibrillators) and catheter ablation procedures. Initiate patient care meetings with the health care team to revise the plan of care as the patient’s condition warrants.
  • Coverage of inpatients will be included too as needed.
  • This opportunity is based primarily in Hartford, CT and will require coverage in some of the additional sites including, but not limited to, West Hartford, Manchester, Middletown, Waterbury, and New Britain.

Qualifications

Eligibility to be licensed as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Connecticut is required. Eligibility to be certified as a PA, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP), or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) is required. Experience practicing as an Advanced Practitioner within cardiology is highly preferred. Cardiac device management experience highly preferred.
