We offer a wide range of programs including Acute Care and Evaluation, Residential Addiction Treatment, Individual, Group & Family Therapy, Intensive Outpatient programs and Community Support Programs. Job Summary

Works collaboratively with schools, community agencies and other community resources in providing high quality programs that meet the needs of young people in the community and that reflect prevention best practices.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Works in collaboration with Rushford’s Prevention Department to provide school and/or community-based services.
  2. Designs and implements effective programs based on a Positive Youth Development model that meets the specific needs of the contracted services.
  3. Designs and implements programs and activities that foster prevention “Best Practices”.
  4. Assists in the implementation of special prevention programs such as Young People’s Jamboree.
  5. Implements policies consistent with the State Standards for Prevention in collaboration with other Prevention staff members.
  6. Facilitates community-based support within community settings.
  7. Assists in developing and supporting local substance abuse task forces. Assists Director in ongoing drug and alcohol awareness activities in the community.
  8. Maintains records in keeping with Program requirements (e.g. monthly statistical reports, performance-based prevention criteria, pre- and post-testing, and group topics).
  9. Maintains a high profile in the local and state community as an expert in prevention.



  • Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, social work, or another related field that is required for Certified Prevention Professional (CPP).
  • CPP required within two years of hire.
  • Current CPP preferred.
  • At least two years' experience working directly with adolescents, particularly those who are high risk, and with parents and teachers.
