The Quality Management department is responsible for quality and safety performance including all required regulatory and public measures reporting (CMS), balanced score care initiatives, HAI prevention. This department provides oversight and governance for the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement mandates for CMS- CoPS, and Joint Commission. Additionally, the team provides subject matter expertise in quality and data analytics, improvement, regulatory readiness (measures, dashboard and analysis); Supports councils and clinical care redesign initiatives. Coordinates the processes of monitoring, measuring and assessment of patient care and support systems to achieve high quality, safe, cost effective healthcare.
The Performance Improvement RN will support the Quality Management Department in conducting ongoing performance improvement activities for the region. The primary functions of this position consist of performance/process improvement for targeted initiatives, collection/abstraction and aggregation of data. The Performance Improvement RN takes an active role in helping departments standardize safe practice patterns; promotes compliance with regulations by working with organization’s staff & Medical staff to develop practices, peer review, quality, and safety efforts that are relevant; facilitates project teams as well as organizational department efforts to improve systems and process within the organization. Qualifications
Education:
•Bachelor’s Degree Required. Master’s Degree preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
•Current CT Registered Nurse License
•CPHQ, CPPS or other quality certification strongly preferred
Experience:
• Minimum 5 years clinical experience
• Experience with Quality Improvement tools and techniques, regulatory experience
