Partners with Bone & Joint Institute team members focusing on surgical quality and business/operational data and information using clinical and billing information systems including the electronic health record, ancillary systems and tools that enable decision support, health information exchange and quality and regulatory oversight.
Partners with clinical and administrative leaders to:
• Understand quality and regulatory reporting requirements for the Bone & Joint Institute for surgical services; translate requirements into functional specifications for populating national data registries and create centralized dashboards and visual analytics. Establish a model than can be utilized at the hospital, regional and system levels.
• Enhance and standardize processes for data extracts to third party vendors: evaluate data collection workflows and identify opportunities to streamline manual processes for HHC surgical clinical reviewers, registrars and data abstractors. Develop customized tools, make recommendations and coordinate flow sheet design in collaboration with CareConnect and quality staff.
• Design and optimize research databases across various surgical divisions to support regional quality and research initiatives.
Qualifications• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Health Administration or related field required.
