Job Summary
BE/BC Psychiatrist needed to join our expanding clinical services at our Behavioral Health Emergency Room as a fulltime (40 hours per week) Evening Psychiatrist. Responsibilities include evaluations for our Emergency Department as the leader of a team including a social work evaluator who will report initial evaluations to the psychiatrist, a charge nurse who will administer treatment, and a nurse technician who will assist the charge nurse.

St. Vincent's Behavioral Health service line includes a 16-bed psychiatric unit at the Medical Center in Bridgeport in addition to our 76-bed Westport location where we have adult, dual diagnosis, and child/adolescent services. This makes the inpatient behavioral health service line of St. Vincent's one of the largest in Connecticut, serving approximately 2,350 individuals annually. We have outpatient clinics running primarily IOP group services in both Norwalk and Bridgeport locations. Additionally, we are the primary teaching hospital for the Frank Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University and are affiliated with the University of Connecticut.
