Advanced Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Role Scope    

Ideal candidate should preferably have one year of experience working in an acute care or orthopedic setting, however a strong candidate with less experience may be considered depending on past clinical training.  At the very least, an applicant should possess a solid background in the accessing and treatment of musclo-skeletal injuries, proficiency with basic surgical techniques.  Clinic setting is outpatient-based, and patient demographic ranges from 18-64 years of age.

Critical-thinking skills, problem solving skills, in addition to exceptional communication skills. Responsiveness to patient and clinical needs - Customer service focused - Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.

Qualifications


  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Master’s program preferred
  • Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) / Physician Assistant  in the state of Connecticut
  • Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
  • Board Certification as an acute care nurse practitioner required
