The Ayer Neuroscience Institute offers a unique integration between neurology, neuroscience and neurosurgery, to give patients a comprehensive approach to treating and/or managing their symptoms and living a healthier, more balanced life. Treating more patients than any other center in the region, our team of experts includes specialists in stroke, neuromuscular, neurosurgery and general neurology. Our physicians practice some of the most advanced treatments available in the nation, including minimally invasive brain and spine surgery, at-home seizure monitoring and pain management. Position Summary:

The System Director of Neurodiagnostics will be responsible for the oversight of the quality, access and efficiency of cerebral neurodiagnostic services throughout the Hartford HealthCare system. This includes direct oversight and mentorship of on-site managers, managing overall budget and revenue cycles, developing new business opportunities, ensuring adequate staff and facility support at each location, participation in appropriate clinical councils, and aligning with faculty engaged with operations of neurodiagnostic studies (e.g. epilepsy, neuromuscular, neuroimmunology, neurosurgery, ortho-spine surgery, neurointensive care).

Key Accountabilities:

• Oversight and mentoring of on-site neurodiagnostic managers and supervisors throughout HHC for the neurodiagnostic modalities including but not limited to: EEG, Evoked potentials, Intra-operative neuromonitoring and Transcranial dopplers.
• Budget management and revenue cycle oversight of neurodiagnostic services, such as facility resources, equipment and staffing in each location.
• Evaluate technology to support effective operations and when applicable, make recommendations regarding capital planning and allocation.
• Provides oversight towards fostering education and career growth of neurodiagnostic employees across the system entities.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative leaders and vendors to develop, implement, and expand multidisciplinary programs across the state and beyond, and to ensure timely delivery of appropriate services.
• Responsible for strategic plan to enhance and build neurodiagnostic programs to include additional locations throughout system.
• Oversight of achievement and ongoing assessment of high-quality standard work, including participation in the Epilepsy Clinical Council and other clinical councils as appropriate
• Align neurodiagnostic service development and access with the overarching strategic goals of the Ayer Neuroscience Institute and Hartford HealthCare.
• Partner with the Director of Quality & Safety and physician leaders to advance one excellent programmatic standard of care across the Ayer Neuroscience Institute.
• Ensure compliance with all standards of accreditation and certification programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree is preferred
• Five plus years of progressive healthcare leadership experience
• Five plus years of neurodiagnostic experience
• ABRET certification is preferred
• Visible leader with excellent interpersonal communication skills who relates well with all levels of the organization
• Previous experience working with LEAN principles is preferred
• A creative, forward thinking leader with the proven ability to engage, coach and mentor direct reports, colleagues and other key stakeholders
• Ability to align strategic and financial goals with the overall goals of the organization
