The Medical Administrative Associate is responsible for full range of administrative support in a high volume oncology practice. Responsibilities include but, are not limited to the following:
• Consult/referral coordination
• Assisting patients with the financial assistance process
• Covering for physician secretaries,
• scheduling physician and treatment/infusion appointments,
• Triaging patient phone calls, and responding to requests for information  

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three to five years experience in healthcare preferred, with two to three years in an ambulatory office setting preferred
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology required
  • Working knowledge of healthcare billing and collections.
  • Familiarity of medical coding preferred i.e.: CPT, ICD10, J- codes.
  • Excellent communication skills with providers, patients, care team, other departments
