Provides general administrative support to Hartford HealthCare at Home Hospice.

Performs various duties for accounts payable preparation, claims management, and security badging. Files, maintains records, data entry, research and other clerical duties. Ensures proper account coding.

Key areas of responsibility

Accounts Payable:

Review Accounts Payable invoices for accuracy, assists in proper coding for cost centers.

Creates Purchase orders, requisitioning, receives goods using PeopleSoft EProcurement platform.

Provides in-house support for managers new to the EProcurement system within Homecare.

Assists with month-end preparation; reviews match exceptions, recurring liabilities. Maintains and uploads to CMS (Content management System) for Oasis Reporting.

Claim Management:

Processes & prepares IV therapy invoice/claim, durable medical equipment, Hospice room and board claims; review for completion of required documentation and signatures for the agency. Works closely with Revenue Cycle on Hospice claim process. Processes Hospice Claim generated from EPIC on behalf of Skilled Nursing Facilities. Goes into state site, review and make sure funding is accurate, research and resolve issues. Prepare check request and submit to Accounts Payable. Maintain all claim records on behalf of HomeCare.

Maintains EPIC work queue for Hospice regulatory requirement 

Administrative Support:

Maintains, modifies and creates employee badges.

Organizes daily work and information to maintain efficiency and confidentiality.

Project Support:

Assists in ad hoc special project assignments i.e. review costs related to durable medical equipment, durable medical equipment usage costs to provide to VP of hospice for review, collection of patient and doctors orders.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education:  High School diploma, Associate Degree in business or health related field preferred

Experience: 3 years of office/business experience 

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements 

  • Flexible in nature.
  • Willingness to adapt in a changing environment.
  • A strong commitment to a high standard of business ethics, principles and values.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft tools, particularly Excel
  • Knowledge of general accounting
  • Knowledge of Hospice benefit Medicare/Medicaid
